The Garden of God (2/6)
A damaged hut in the village of Nandavanam. Ironically, the village's name means "Garden of God". When cyclone Nisha hit the coastal region of Tamil Nadu in India, thousands of people lost their huts and property. Heavy rainfalls made rivers and lakes swell far beyond their normal size flodding hundreds of coastal villages. (Photo: Bajaj Allianz)

Three days after the cyclone, a team of Bajaj Allianz insurance specialists came to the region to register claims. With no electricity, food, and inaccessible roads, work was very difficult for the Allianz team and their NGO partners. They had to use boats and wade through the water to reach their clients.
