Solar energy for flats in metrocities
Presently solar power is costly about 3 to 4 times the conventiona power and hence finding difficulty in adoption. Domestic sector consumes about 30% of toal power generated and peak period energy shortage is about 15 to 20% and to fill the gap the state governments are purchasing at Rs 10 to 12/unit. I is worth while to consider installation of SPV panels on roof tops of multistory buildings at the time of construction phase and offer the flats. The consumer wont get burdened even if he pays 2 to 3 lakhs more initially as he can get un interrupted power freely through out. This will be an attractive preposition in metro-cities like Bomay, Madras etc.
