Are We Too Many?
Part 1: The Population Crisis

By 2050 the world’s population will have grown by another 3.5 billion, the same number as lived on the entire planet in 1950. Can a depleted planet support population growth? We look at both sides of the debate.

Population Growth
with the rate at which population growth is going, there seems to be no stop especially in the developing world due to values, beliefs, cultural practice and ignorance in the use of birth control measures among others which i belong to one (Nigeria).what other measures do you think will be suitable for this contries?

Overpopulation
Since the 1960s I have been a student of world population. It was then obvious to me that the population of the planet could not be sustained indefinitely at the rate at which it was growing. But all I ever got from friends and relations ranged from indifference to hostility. Even today I sometimes listen to people claiming that the earth can sustain more people. I ask the aft repeated question 'What planet are such people living on?' But one thing is for sure that they will not be living on this planet for much longer nor will any of the rest of us. The planet's resources are now in crisis and will begin to collapse like dominos beginning quite soon. The destruction of the bees is the most alarming occurrence to date and may well become the watershed. Nature is an angry beast and now we are poking it with sticks
